We are working with an award winning, modern firm with a great culture and ethos in Durham who are on the lookout to recruit a Court of Protection Paralegal to join their Health and Welfare team. The firm recruiting have a great presence in the North East and are seeking a career paralegal looking to join their Durham office.
Our client is seeking applications from paralegals looking for a long-term paralegal role as opposed to using this role to jump into another opportunity. In return the firm can offer you a stable career and a genuinely amazing working environment.
-Joining as a Court of Protection paralegal you would be assisting the Fee Earners by preparing court bundles, corresponding with clients, courts and third parties.
-You will also be dealing with legal aid applications, agreeing fees with clients and other duties that the Fee Earners request help with.
-In time you would be able to take on some fee earning yourself.
-The ideal candidate would be a paralegal with Court of Protection experience.
-This position would suit a paralegal looking to stay within this role, and not a steppingstone into something else.
-The firm are looking for someone with a good background and real passion for Court of Protection.
-It is essential to have strong knowledge of Court of Protection matters in particular good knowledge of the Health and Welfare side of things.
To be successful in an application you must have previous Court of Protection experience or have experience dealing with often vulnerable clients. Therefore, you must have gained experience in other relatable areas such as private client or family as you need to have excellent client care skills for this role.
