We are currently growing our Client Development function and are recruiting a BD & Marketing Executive to support the Head of BD & Marketing (UK&I) and/or Head of Sectors and Clients and their teams to help drive the efficient and effective delivery of the core marketing and business development activities for specified location(s), sector(s), or practice group(s).
The role is a partner-facing one, involving adding value and managing multiple projects with a domestic and/or global focus. The person will need to become well-networked within the business quickly and have the ability to work collaboratively with other specialists within the Client Development function.
This is an exciting all-encompassing role across BD, Marketing and Events disciplines including general marketing and business development activities, client account management, targeting initiatives, events, brand and profile raising; and the associated administration around the Sector, Practice Group and/or Location BD plans and activities, including supporting the reporting requirements of the business.
You will be learning from industry leading experts in a friendly and committed working environment and get involved in a variety of tasks such as:-
- Working with the team to develop and/or revise and implement BD & Marketing Plans for your locations /sectors/practice groups, and help proactively drive BD & Marketing activity and engagement
- Proactively contributing to, and/or leading, meetings in your areas of responsibility to obtain and maintain engagement to BD & Marketing
- Assisting with planning, delivery and follow up of targeted business development activities and account management for an identified list of client accounts.
- Pulling together monthly MI for senior leaders in the business.
- Taking ownership of the development and maintenance of deal lists, credential documents and other marketing materials
- Raising brand awareness through internal and external communications through managing the website, social media, events, intranet pages and internal communications channels for your Locations/ Sector/PG/.
- Working with internal Brand, Communications and Digital teams to ensure that campaign activity is co- ordinated across all channels aligned to BD & Marketing plans
This role comes with a high degree of autonomy so first class organisational and communication skills are essential, together with a proactive and flexible approach to work. As a self-starter, you will be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building ability with the aptitude to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
We are keen to attract passionate Degree Educated people with a 2-3 years previous marketing experience (ideally gained within a law firm or professional services) and a true drive to develop their skills and grow as a business development and marketing professional. Project management experience, including managing multiple projects at any time with multiple deadlines is also key to success in this role.
We are looking for an articulate, confident and well organised individual with a strong business acumen, a commercial mindset and good attention to detail. The successful candidate will also have awareness of cultural differences and have the ability to travel as appropriate to support different locations and to travel occasionally to eg London/Manchester to participate in wider team meetings.
