This national firm is recruiting into its Plymouth-based employment law department and now seeks two qualified solicitors or legal executives, with at least 1 year's employment law experience.
In this role, you will manage a full caseload of employment rights cases. You will provide a range of general legal advice to trade union members, more specifically advising on and signing off settlement agreements.
You should be a fantastic communicator and will be regularly liaising with senior union officials. You will build strong working relationships with these officials and will have an influential yet tactful and empathetic manner.
As a prerequisite, you should have a minimum of 1-2 years' employment rights experience, specifically to include advising on settlement agreements.
You will be assessing and advising on settlement agreements and identifying any issues which may arise according to the needs of each client. This role requires excellent prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail to enable you to construct clear and effective arguments, yielding the best result for your clients. You will need to show empathy and understanding, providing a professional legal service with a personal touch.
Qualified solicitors or legal executives with more extensive employment law experience, perhaps looking to fill an employment gap for 6 months, will be considered.
Salary to £32k + great benefits, including health insurance, travel loans & contributory pension scheme.
