The Vacant Post
The firm has an immediate full-time vacancy for a Solicitor/Conveyancer/Legal Executive/Experienced Paralegal to take conduct of primarily residential conveyancing and probate matters, and a limited but developing aspect of commercial conveyancing work. The successful candidate is expected to have reasonable, working experience in the region of 2 years in the related fields of legal practice.
You will undertake early responsibility and be involved in each successive stage of the conveyancing process which itself involves regular client contact. You must be able to conduct searches competently, fully understand the fundamentals of mortgages, and manage your allocated caseload of both freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
The work will include supporting the firm's current conveyancing personnel as well as functioning in an independent capacity with his/her own workload. It is essential that those who apply has Conveyancing and Probate experience.
Material factors of this employment include:
The Conveyancing and Probate experience described above;
Title checking of freehold and leasehold properties, both registered and unregistered land;
Competent IT skills – Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
Lexel case management software capability (an essential);
Travel time to and from work; and
You must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to 'hit the ground running' in a comfortable office;
