Salary: £100000 - £130000 per annum + Negotiable + Benefits

Senior Construction Solicitor required to head up a highly regarded London law firm's non-contentious construction department. A unique opportunity due to succession planning, where you will need solid non-contentious construction experience and the ambition to develop their Construction offering and department further.

The Firm

This firm has one of the most well-respected names for quality Property work across London. They are a multi-service firm that punches well above their weight.

They have attracted many Lawyers out of large City firms who have been looking for a more collegiate, friendly culture where staff can make more of an impact and feel valued without compromising on the quality of work. They recently hired an established Partner in Commercial Property, coming from a Top 20 UK law firm.

There is flexible and remote working available.

The Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Construction Solicitor to head up this firm's Construction offering in London.

This role has arisen as the current Head of Department is going to be retiring, making this a very unique and exciting opportunity to take over a successful department.

They are at 65 people currently and are growing at a healthy rate, aiming to increase their workforce to 75 by the end of the year.

They offer real freedom and support for you to service and develop the work you want to do.

This will involve primarily non-contentious construction and surround a variety of work.

Requirements:

* You will be a Construction Solicitor with 5+ years PQE
* You will have a solid understanding of the construction industry, not just the legal aspects of the same, along with a sound knowledge of industry contracts, regulations and procedures.
* Act for a variety of clients, including contractors, sub contractors, property developers, architects, engineers, landowners, banks and financing institutions (and more!)
* Ability to break down complex concepts and explain the same in everyday language
* Work closely with legal professionals of other disciplines (internally and externally), including finance, property, planning, insurance and regulatory to ensure due diligence and funding is secured.
* Ability to advise on breaches of contract, payments not made or withheld, breaches of planning and building and regulatory approvals, health and safety, insurance liability through various forms of dispute resolution, up to handing over to the litigation team
