Employment Solicitor - Respondent Work - Superb Environment
QED Legal is working with a very highly regarded Legal 500 and Chambers listed national practice whose Employment Team is enjoying a significant increase in instructions and so is now eager to appoint an additional Employment Solicitor to its envied Employment Team at the firms' Birmingham city centre office.
This firm has won a host of awards and continues to be listed in the Sunday Times' Top 100 Companies to work for. It is a major player in the market and offers bespoke legal services in a variety of sectors to include wealth protection, real estate, technology, charities, employment, corporate and education with a client base consisting of large PLCs, high net worth families, landowners, a plethora of government and public bodies and a number of educational institutions.
The firms' Employment Team has one of the best reputations in the sector and is proud to boast Tier 1 rated practitioners nationally who act for a varied client base which comprises owner managed businesses, charities, healthcare providers and educational establishments meaning that the clients you will act for are able to provide technically complex and high calibre instructions.
The firm is now looking to consolidate its Birmingham offering with the hire of an experienced Employment Solicitor who has a minimum of 4 years' PQE which has been gained at a comparable national practice or at a specialist boutique firm. You will be skilled in dealing with both contentious and non-contentious matters to include advisory work, Tribunal claims, whistle blowing, TUPE and changes in legislation. Whilst respondent experience is preferred, the practice is happy to hear from employment solicitors from a claimant background as long as they can demonstrate solid exposure to providing corporate support.
The function of the role is to deal predominantly with clients within the healthcare and educational sectors and so, whilst experience of acting primarily for similar clients is advantageous, it is by no means essential; however, what is important is that you are ambitious and enthusiastic about forging a career in the employment sector and that you have an appetite for growing your practice area to enable you to become an integral part of the team, both in Birmingham and nationally.
This firm not only offers some home working and a very competitive salary but also provides one of the best benefits packages on the market which includes lucrative bonuses, generous annual leave, private healthcare and a host of other options. In addition, the practice is renowned for treating all of its staff as adults, holding them in high esteem and placing a significant amount of trust in them. The firm does not tolerate any form of micro-management and, whilst they expect high standards to be maintained in order to preserve their top tier reputation, they aim to encourage a happy and relaxed working environment where their staff can thrive and develop within their role and be happy working at the firm. As a result, many of their senior lawyers started as trainees at the firm and have remained throughout their entire career due to the opportunities on offer.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an envied practice which can offer real job satisfaction, a genuine work/life balance and a collegiate environment along with acres of progression and development opportunities so for more information on this Employment Solicitor role please contact Matt Robinson at QED Legal.
