Salary: £37000 - £50000 per annum
An exciting new role has arisen in the legal market for an employment solicitor to join one of the largest and fastest growing employment teams in the East Midlands. The firm is well-known and highly regarded in the region.
The firm has the highest standards of expertise and service but retains the feel of a smaller, friendlier practice. It has an enviable client base that is built on strong relationships and would be looking for someone to continue to strengthen this as well as bring in new work.
You will be responsible for running your own caseload covering a wide range of respondent contentious and non-contentious employment law matters such as; employment contracts, staff handbooks and policy documents, workplace disputes, disciplinary and grievance procedures, unfair and wrongful dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, maternity entitlements, settlement agreements, and TUPE to both education and commercial clients.
This role will be ideal for someone looking to develop their career with a varied and interesting workload, flexibility and freedom in a supportive and friendly environment.
You must be a hardworking individual with the motivation and desire to succeed and really get the most out of this opportunity. The ideal candidate will also be keen to get involved in marketing and business development for both the department and the firm.
It is important that you have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to advise clients on their legal needs with confidence. Team work is an essential part of the role, therefore, you must be prepared to work amongst a friendly group of individuals and offer mutual support.
The successful candidate should have 2+ years' PQE, however, this level of experience has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this bracket but have the relevant skills and experience.
