Your Role at Moore Barlow
We’re really going places and have ambitious plans, but we can’t do it without great people!
As a result, we are looking for a Commercial Solicitor with 2 - 6 PQE, to work on a wide range of commercial agreements, predominantly technology or IP-related.
Your work will be non-contentious in nature and you will be joining a collaborative and supportive a team of two Partners and three other fee-earners.
The team has consistently increased its turnover and profile in recent years, and we are looking for a confident, outgoing Lawyer who likes to get involved with business development to drive future growth.
This role will be based in either our Southampton or Guildford offices. We do offer a very flexible, hybrid working model so you can work in the office 2/3 days a week and the rest from home, it’s up to you!
What We Look For
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and self-sufficient fee earner to be part of this growing team, who have been recognised by the leading directories for their Commercial and Technology expertise.
You will have previous experience working with owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger organisations in relation to drafting / reviewing / negotiating a range of commercial and IT agreements, software development & licensing, Software as a Service (SaaS) and outsourcing agreements.
As we work with a lot of Technology clients, a reasonable level of experience in Intellectual Property and GDPR / Data Protection Law is also expected. Other requirements include:
- Previous experience of advising on due diligence and disclosure on corporate transactions.
- Pro-active approach to client work, business development and marketing.
- and used to taking the initiative in client work and relationships.
- Ability to understand a client’s business, their objectives and what motivates them.
- Enthusiasm, organisational skills, creativity and solutions focused.
