Clinical Negligence Paralegal
The Healthcare Litigation team in Leeds, which sits within the Professional Indemnity team, is currently growing their team and recruiting for a Paralegal. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a burgeoning area of practice within a highly successful and well-regarded team.
The role presents significant opportunities for training, growth and development in a unique team at the forefront of healthcare litigation which has enjoyed significant success and acts for a wide range of clients (insurers, insureds, regulators, Royal Colleges, defence organisations, PCTs and medical professionals) on the defence side. The team draws on opportunities to act for DWF’s wide client base, while keeping its sights firmly set on continuing to win new business in this rapidly evolving, most interesting area.
You will be working within a team which enjoys a wide variety of work, including healthcare regulatory law (defending healthcare professionals before their regulators – GMC, GDC, NMC, HCPC etc), disciplinary work (MHPS and private hospitals), inquest law, medico-legal advisory work, criminal and some clinical negligence work.
The successful candidate will have solid experience as a Paralegal, ideally with experience within healthcare litigation, although we can be flexible. You will also be able to demonstrate technical and commercial expertise and application and to deliver excellent results and client service for clients within required time frames.
