In House Junior Counsel – Corporate & Investments - Central London and hybrid working – NQ-1 PQE
Our client is one of the leading equity crowdfunding platforms in the UK and they are now looking to add to their legal team with the appointment of a junior lawyer.
Based in Central London, with teams also spread across Europe, our client has created a working environment that allows individuals to thrive based on your merits, abilities and potential.
We are now looking for a junior corporate lawyer, passionate about start-ups and investment to join our client’s Investment Team.
The ideal candidate will be NQ or 1-year PQE and have experience in corporate law or a related area, with an understanding of how venture capital and/or private equity functions.
You should be a clear strategic thinker, client-focused, and thrive on the opportunity to help build a team, the business and the future of start-ups. The job will require top-notch interpersonal skills, legal experience and knowledge with genuine empathy for entrepreneurs. You should also have a passion for helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
This position sits within the Client’s Investment Team, which is at the core of company operations.
You will be responsible for all legal aspects of the campaigns and will play a key part in taking start-ups through the funding process. While our client is looking for an excellent lawyer, you will also need to develop an understanding of everything related to fundraising, including strategies around crowdfunding, the regulatory framework in which they operate, engaging with investors (from small, self-directed investors to high net worths and institutions) and understanding their platform and products.
