LEGAL COUNSEL (NQ+)
COMMERCIAL/SOCIAL MEDIA/MARKETING

Our client is one of the most recognised media brands in the world. They are looking for a brilliant individual to join their Content & Operations legal affairs team.
We are looking for someone with commercial and transactional experience, preferably (but not necessarily) within a broadcasting environment.
You will be the primary point of contact and lead legal support for the Marketing; PR; Digital and Social Media; Creative; and short-form production teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* advising on matters related to marketing campaigns and activities across various platforms including via social media;
* day-to-day review, drafting and negotiation of a range of agreements related to: production services (commissioned TV series and channel promos); software licensing; website development; influencer agreements; IP licences; other ad hoc services;
* reviewing and advising on competition T&Cs, marketing copy and prize promotion mechanics to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and internal channel brand guidelines and policies (privacy, data protection, protection of minors and others).
Ideally you will be familiar with: (i) consumer and advertising laws and regulations (ASA CAP code and BCAP and other regulatory codes in relevant territories); and (ii) the functionalities and terms of use of social media platforms. Experience of ad sales and platform carriage deals desirable, but not essential.
