Salary: £23,000 +
Our Intelligence Team provides an expert desktop investigation and insight service to our teams and clients.
In this role you will receive requests for Intelligence services from our colleagues and clients and you will use our comprehensive investigation tools and technology coupled with your own skill, dedication to quality and commitment to compliance to return the insight in a way which is truly market leading.
The work of the team is really diverse and you will receive referrals in relation to all manner of legal disputes – including Motor, Disease, Casualty and Healthcare claims.
As an Intelligence Analyst your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking compliant desktop investigations regarding data subjects.
- Producing quality intelligence reports regarding your findings.
- Producing Civil Procedural Rule compliant witness evidence so that your findings can be disclosed and used in Court when necessary.
- Giving evidence in Court regarding intelligence investigations which you have undertaken.
- Keeping up-to-date with market trends and conditions specific to Intelligence and the markets within which the firm operates.
- Conducting Data Protection Act compliant investigations with third parties.
- Liaising by phone and e-mail with client contacts and third parties.
- Disseminating Intelligence and insights to colleagues, clients and third parties.
- Attending industry and client Intelligence forums and meetings.
- Handling and processing confidential, sensitive and restricted intelligence.
- Ad hoc support to campaign and marketing activities.
- Contributing to the teams financial and chargeable hours targets.
- Supporting the team’s business development activities.
- Assisting with other work allocated by the Team Manager
This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role. As an Intelligence Analyst you will also ensure that you comply with the relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures, and consistently work in accordance with our values.
About You
Ideally you will have previous experience as an Intelligence Analyst, Intelligence Researcher or Investigator and have genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work.
You will be tenacious in your approach to desktop investigation. You will take pride in your work and in the insight which you provide to clients and colleagues.
As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks.
You will have a detailed understanding of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and associated legislation and regulation aligned to the management and dissemination of intelligence, along with detailed knowledge of the Fraud Act 2006.
We also require you to have:
- A high level of accuracy with excellent written and communication skills.
- A positive, professional and confident manner.
- A commitment to confidentiality, both internally and externally.
- Flexibility and an ability to work well under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines and targets.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
