Bell Cornwall Recruitment is honoured to be recruiting for the exciting position of PI Paralegal for our esteemed client, a well-established mid-sized law firm located in Birmingham City Centre. With a history spanning over 90 years, our client offers a wide range of legal services, including both commercial and private law. The firm is committed to employee wellness and progressive initiatives, making it an ideal mid-point between high-street and larger corporate firms.
In this exciting role as a PI Paralegal, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our legal team with various tasks.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the team in preparing witness statements, costings, and general legal work.
- Executing tasks on behalf of clients as directed by fee earners with precision, reliability, and adherence to the firm's quality and risk management procedures, including compliance with relevant accreditations.
- Staying updated on legal developments through training and research and contributing actively to the development of departmental precedents and policies.
- Demonstrating proficiency in IT skills relevant to modern legal practice, including working with a case management system.
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with clients and other stakeholders.
- Complying with office requirements for training and attending relevant courses.
To qualify for this role, candidates must have previous personal injury experience.
