Position:
Employment Counsel/ Compliance Officer - UK & Europe
Reports to:
Commercial & Legal Manager - UK & Europe
Summary:
Providing day to day advice and guidance on a variety of matters relevant to the overall compliance of the business in the various countries we operate in across the region.
Develop best practices and lead training to ensure compliance with applicable staffing industry regulatory requirements.
Assist the team with employment and worker related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement local staffing compliance processes for the teams across the region
Review, draft and advise the business on employment matters
Review and assess any worker related advising on the best course of action
Complete various regional trainings on relevant aspects of the law, the legal function and best practices
Manage internal stakeholder relationships, acting as a direct point of contact for any queries or issues
Monitor all relevant legislative and regulatory updates to ensure the business is always up to date
Any ad hoc requests required to support the team as required by the Legal Manager/ Head of legal
Skill & Competence Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of employment laws in the UK, and wider Europe an advantage
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Experience of working in a pressured environment and ensuring the delivery of projects to timescales
Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, managing communication with both junior and senior members of staff
Maintains a continuous learning approach, showing interest and curiosity in new ideas and opportunities.
Being a team player and collaborating effectively with others
Strong drafting skills with excellent command of the English language
Ability to flexible to facilitate times of high workload

Qualifications and experience:
· LLB Degree or other relevant legal qualification
· Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
