PRIVATE CLIENT LEGAL SECRETARY

Position: Private Client Legal Secretary Location: Exeter We are recruiting for an experienced Private Client Legal Secretary to join the busy legal team in our Client's Exeter Office. This hands-on role will be dealing with private client legal practice, mainly focusing on wills & probate and estate planning. The right candidate must have excellent legal secretarial skills, be organised and be able to provide our clients with a first class service. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their work, has a positive attitude and an enthusiastic approach. The successful candidate will have: * Previous experience in a busy legal environment * Proven knowledge of private client legal practice * A working understanding of solicitors' account rules and the role of an IAC * Superior communication skills, both verbal and written * A strong vocal presence, confident and proactive * Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Office, Legal and Case Management Software. The duties and responsibilities of the Private Client Legal Secretary will include, but are not limited to: * Liaising with clients on an ongoing basis to keep them updated on all legal matters * Updating and managing client files whilst maintaining confidentiality * Drafting and amending legal documents as required by solicitors * Preparing probate and estate administration applications * Open and maintaining client accounts to complete relevant compliance procedures * Maintaining filing systems * Ensuring all deadlines are met * Attending court hearings as required If you feel that you meet the required criteria and think that you fit the role, please submit your CV and covering letter telling us why you would be the perfect candidate.
