Our client, a top 50, full-service law firm is seeking a junior Solicitor (NQ - 3 years PQE) to join its successful and growing Property Litigation team, based in their Manchester office.
They are looking for:
* A qualified solicitor with post qualification experience (PQE) within the range of newly Qualified (NQ) to 3 years’ PQE
* Strong academic history
* Experience in property disputes
* An outgoing and friendly manner alongside an ability to adapt and work at a fast pace
* Strong work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude
The Property Litigation team covers the full spectrum of property disputes for both commercial and residential landowners, landlords and tenants. The team acts for a number of high profile, household names alongside a variety of developers, managing agents, investors and private clients.
As a Property Litigation Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload under supervision and support Partners on larger disputes. Your role will be client facing and you will be encouraged to develop your professional skills and own business development strategies.
The succesful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
* Dealing with new enquiries from new and existing clients
* Managing a busy caseload of a variety of disputes
* Taking instructions from clients, legal research, case analysis and drafting letters/emails/documents
* Assisting partners and senior solicitors on high value/complex disputes
* Managing compliance and cashflow on files
* Producing articles, video content and delivering external/internal training
* Developing and assisting with the implementation of business development strategies
Your caseload will cover all types of property disputes, including but not limited to:
* Boundary and easement disputes
* Professional negligence claims
* Dilapidation claims
* Contract disputes
* Breach of covenant claims
* Landlord and tenant disputes
* Nuisance and trespass claims
* Break notices
* Lease renewals
* Forfeiture
* Lease extensions and enfranchisement
* Service charge disputes
* Trusts of land disputes
* Commercial and residential possession claims
