The Role
The position is to focus on providing legal advice and guidance to its Police Federation client base, which is the staff association for police officers up to the rank of Chief Inspector. The provision of advice will include contentious and non-contentious employment matters, as well as regulatory and pension issues for its members. Additionally, you will be providing advice and representation in claims in the Employment Tribunal and civil courts. Having a good understanding of the various IT platforms used to assist in litigation, case management and marketing is essential.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Providing advice and assessments on the merits of potential tribunal, regulatory, pension and other claims
Managing employment tribunal and pension cases
Conducting advocacy
Providing legal advice to clients on a day-to-day basis
Assisting other team members
Attending networking and marketing events
