Legal Assistant – Education – Cardiff
Avocet Legal is working with a client-focused, nationwide law firm that has a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Legal Assistant to join their knowledgeable Education Law Department based in Cardiff, providing secretarial and administrative support to Fee earners.
No previous experience within the education law sector is not needed as full training will be provided.
Legal Assistant – Education responsibilities include:
Dealing with telephone enquiries calls prior to them being passed to the appropriate fee earner.
Emailing and corresponding with various parties on cases.
Preparing and filing Tribunal/ Court documentation by email.
Scheduling telephone calls/meetings.
Organising and processing Tribunal/ Court bundles.
Opening, closing, billing and ongoing orderly maintenance of all files in accordance with firm’s quality standards, Lexcel compliance, and regulatory rules.
File and diary management.
Graduate Trainee Analyst requirements:
Strong administration skills associated with a busy office environment and largely working paperless.
Solid communication and time management skills.
Methodical approach to planning and organising your tasks to ensure they are carried out in a timely manner and to an accurate and high standard.
You will be able to work within a team, independently and efficiently.
Confidence in dealing with clients in a caring and professional manner both on the telephone and in person, is essential.
Able to prioritise tasks/duties within expected given case deadlines.
IT literate with good typing skills and the ability to use; Outlook/Microsoft/Excel/Case Management System.
