Due to the growing team we are now actively looking for a Business Analyst to join them.
Our IT Transformation department are looking to recruit two Senior Business Analysts into their team, based in Liverpool.
This role will work with stakeholders at all levels across the business to uncover and document detailed requirements that form the basis of a successful project. They also ensure that any changes to requirements are captured along the way.

Role overview
Introduction to the role:
The Business Analysts within our team are key to the success of our project delivery methodology. They work with stakeholders at all levels across the business to uncover and document detailed requirements that form the basis of a successful project. They also ensure that any changes to requirements are captured along the way.
The team work alongside our Testers to ensure that requirements are fully covered and understood during test preparation and work with the Project Managers to help manage scope and change control. Also, capturing requirements at such a detailed level means that our BA’s become experienced systems users and are therefore key to supporting testing activities and our in-house Training Team with the rollout of business change and post go live support.
Our BA’s need to be excellent communicators (both written and oral), persuasive, analytical and tenacious. We’re looking for someone with experience of working in a similar environment - used to working with Stakeholders at all levels and comfortable leading workshops and delivering training.
We work primarily with off the shelf solutions configured to meet our business requirements.
Projects range from smaller solutions such as room booking systems to major software projects that span the entire business such as finance system upgrades.
Introduction to the team:
As part of the Delivery and Change department in the firm, you will be part of a large team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Testers within the PMO. Within the firm wide PMO, you will bring to the team your experience and ability to roll up your sleeves and assist with an exciting change within the business. The team delivers all projects across the firm and is a well-respected part of our business model. We have high standards for work but we also have fun while we’re doing it and work as a team fully supporting each other.
Key responsibilities:
Able to demonstrate a high level of experience of Business Analysis across multiple departments and functions and if preferably a good knowledge of Hill Dickinson (Yellow Belt or above)
To lead the Business Analysis team and drive change and improvements within the Business Analysis team
To be the key point of contact for the team with other teams
To ensure a consistency of process and documentation within the Business Analysis team
To provide support to the other Business Analysts in the team both on projects and as Business Analysts
To mentor less experienced members of the Business Analyst team
To carry out the role of Business Analyst on projects covering:
Analysis - of current processes and requirements for new processes
Documentation – of current processes, new processes, agreed decisions etc
Testing – supporting the Test team with test preparation and the undertaking of test cases when required
Training & Support – assistance with training and post go live support
What we are looking for
Demonstrate knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma practices to ensure continuous improvement process mapping of business activities.
LSS Data approach and high level of understanding data to evidence areas of opportunity and measure success.
Demonstrate a high level of experience of business analysis practices and documentation including analysis and investigation
Able to work on the most complex Hill Dickinson project as either the sole Business Analyst or the lead Business Analyst
Able to lead a team of Business Analysts to improve project processes and documentation as well help develop team members
Strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Demonstrable experience of requirements gathering, workshop delivery, process mapping and gap analysis
Able to demonstrate experience in stakeholder management in a complex stakeholder environment
Ability to understand and respond to user needs in a rapidly changing business environment
Excellent communication skills
Able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when liaising with stakeholders
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
Previous involvement in complex data migrations
Previous experience working on upgrade projects (systems & technical infrastructure)
Working with integrated systems
Knowledge of the legal sector and legal sector software systems or knowledge of insurance sector business processes, software systems or knowledge.
