Legal Secretary – Family A highly regarded full service law firm with multiple offices across Wiltshire are looking to appoint a legal secretary to support their family department to be based from their Trowbridge office.   Dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to their clients the existing family team are committed to assisting individuals through various legal matters with expertise, compassion, and professionalism. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Secretary to join the dynamic team and contribute to the success of our Family Department.  Whilst previous experience within family is desirable applications from individuals with a strong background in other areas of legal support will also be considered. About The Role As a Legal Secretary in our Family Department, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth functioning of the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures related to family law. Key Responsibilities Draft and edit legal documents, correspondence, and reports as required by fee earners in the Family Department. Maintain and organise fee earners calendars, schedule meetings, and manage court deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks. Serve as a point of contact for clients, handling phone calls and emails professionally, and maintaining positive client relationships. Organise and maintain legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, scanning, and file maintenance. Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role, with a focus on family law, is highly preferred. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures related to family law. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal case management software is a plus.
