We help businesses around the UK bid for public sector contracts – that means understanding everything that government spends money on, from new inclusive healthcare projects to next generation green infrastructure. We work with the people delivering those products and services and help them win contracts.  Most of our work is with SMEs - those owner-led businesses who are the lifeblood of the UK economy. We help small local businesses compete nationally to grow and thrive. That usually means not just understanding the service, but also the place and the communities being served by those companies. Our service goes far beyond just writing their bids, and the support and advice we give our clients helps them improve what they do.  Bid Writer– The Role: This position will focus primarily on bid writing, and on developing the skills needed to produce exceptional written content for our clients. That means going through our intensive 3MindWriting® training programme, and then shadowing live projects for our clients to discover why we win more than four of five of the bids we write. Hybrid role - initially, we will be training in the office but once trained, the candidate will be able to choose whether to work at home or in our office. One day a month is a whole team office-based meeting at our registered office at Pera Business Park, Nottingham Road, Melton Road LE13 0PB. Bid Writer– Key Responsibilities: - To research background information for each company and opportunity we work on - To write high quality responses based on information from the client and research - To support team members to produce compelling propositions and reports - To work closely with our clients to identify relevant opportunities, innovations, and best practice to improve their company practicesBid Writer– Benefits: - Competitive starting salary with the opportunity to earn bonuses through the company profit-share scheme within three months of joining - Flexible working arrangements available (only one mandatory office day per month) - Free office Lunch is provided during monthly meetings - Access to an employee assistance and benefits programme offering various discounts and offers - Private health insurance and benefits platform available for all staff - 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays - An additional day of annual leave for every year of employment with the company - Quarterly company profit share distributed to all staff from their fourth month of employment - Mental Health First Aiders available - Paid sick and compassionate leave - Comprehensive training programme to support professional development Working for Tenders UK: We’re a small team, and so there are always opportunities to develop into other roles, with our 2021 recruits both going into sales and project management. Here’s what our last writing recruit had to say about her journey so far: ‘After graduating, I sought two things from employment: to pursue my passion for writing and make a positive difference. At Tenders UK (TUK), I found both. The fast-paced world of bid writing and diverse clients/sectors mean no two weeks are the same, and every day brings new knowledge and learning. But most rewarding is our impact for the Clients we help to win, and those who benefit from their services. TUK are a team: we support and learn from each other, celebrating success. I recommend bid writing, and TUK, to anyone seeking a creative, collaborative, and purposeful career.’ What we do is complex, challenging work which will push you to understand business and society in a way few other jobs will. Learning is therefore a critical aspect of our culture and has helped nurture talent in our business. Application Process: Please submit your CV along with a 300-word covering letter explaining why you would like to work for Tenders UK. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered. The deadline for this role is the 2nd of April 2024. If you're the type of curious individual who wants to delve deeply into understanding how everything from community doctors' surgeries to global ship repair operations functions, then apply for the Bid Writer role today and unravel the intricacies of diverse sectors
