Exceptional opportunity for an experienced construction litigator to join a Top 100 firm in the South West at part of its leading built environment practice.
The firm has an excellent reputation built on the quality of its legal advice, its client base and the calibre of lawyers it recruits, with many of the senior individuals being named in Chambers and the Legal 500 and having City backgrounds. The firm has continued to thrive and produces excellent results year-on-year, and now an opportunity has arisen for a top calibre construction disputes lawyer to join its highly-rated team to handle a broad variety of contentious construction matters in a role which is seen as a step to partnership.
You will be dealing with a variety of matters on behalf of contractors and sub-contractors, developers, public sector bodies and private clients, and will be handling a caseload including contractual disputes, professional negligence, defects claims, payment disputes and valuations disputes, with matters being both domestic and international. You will therefore be able to point to a proven track record within this field, likely built up over circa 8+yrs PQE, and with experience of resolving matters through mediation and arbitration as well as overseeing disputes at the TCC.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a firm in a senior role where a following is not required, although naturally candidates who have the possibility of bringing clients will always be of real interest.
