Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum

Duty Solicitor, 3+ PQE, London, £40,000–£50,000 (DOE). An exciting opportunity to join a specialist criminal defence team, handling a diverse range of serious and complex criminal matters, with the added benefit of flexible hybrid working - JOB REF: 215306010

OVERVIEW:
• You will represent clients detained at police stations, providing expert legal advice and representation, while managing a varied criminal defence caseload and ensuring all matters are thoroughly prepared and progressed within required deadlines.
• The role will also involve undertaking Magistrates’ Court advocacy, including summary trials, alongside Crown Court advocacy where you hold Higher Rights of Audience.
• You will play an integral role in delivering high-quality legal representation and exceptional client care, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive and expanding Crime team.
• The successful candidate will be a Duty Qualified Solicitor with ideally at least 3 years’ PQE in criminal law, bringing strong advocacy, communication, and case preparation skills.
• You will be confident managing a demanding caseload independently, able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate excellent IT proficiency and attention to detail. A proactive, pragmatic, and professional approach is essential, alongside a genuine commitment to publicly funded legal work, delivering outstanding client care and building effective working relationships.
