Want to get closer to the business, influence commercial decisions and build your in-house legal experience on an international stage?
This is an opportunity to join the EMEA legal team of a leading global consumer products and technology organisation, supporting commercial operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
We're looking for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys more than simply reviewing contracts. You'll work closely with senior legal leadership and business stakeholders, providing practical advice, helping navigate commercial risk and supporting projects that have a direct impact on how the business operates.
With exposure to commercial contracts, data privacy, marketing initiatives and international business projects, this is a broad role for a lawyer who wants variety, responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference.
Why this role could be your next move
International exposure: Support businesses and stakeholders across EMEA, gaining insight into different markets and commercial priorities.
A genuine business-partnering role: Work alongside senior legal colleagues and help stakeholders make informed, commercially sensible decisions.
Broader legal experience: Combine commercial contracting with GDPR, privacy matters and business projects.
Room to make an impact: Bring your own judgement, take ownership of your work and help the business find practical solutions.
An attractive package: £70,000–£80,000 base salary, plus a 10% completion bonus.
A defined 15-month assignment: An opportunity to broaden your experience, deliver tangible results and strengthen your in-house legal credentials.
What will you be doing?
Commercial contracts and advisory
Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including supply, distribution and service contracts.
Advise business stakeholders on contractual obligations, commercial risk and potential solutions.
Provide day-to-day legal support to businesses operating across the EMEA region.
Translate legal complexity into clear, practical advice that helps the business move forward. Data privacy and compliance
Support data protection and privacy matters, including Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
Help the business navigate UK GDPR and relevant European data protection requirements.
Contribute to legal and compliance considerations across different markets. Business projects and wider legal support
Support commercial initiatives, marketing campaigns and projects requiring legal input.
Review and prepare legal documentation, and assist with contract execution and completion.
Conduct legal research, coordinate legal processes and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
What are we looking for?
You'll be a qualified solicitor or equivalent lawyer in the UK or an EEA jurisdiction, with around 3–5 years' post-qualification experience as a guide.
We're particularly interested in lawyers who can demonstrate:
Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
A sound understanding of commercial law and contractual risk.
Working knowledge of UK GDPR and European data privacy requirements.
The ability to communicate clearly with non-legal colleagues and build effective stakeholder relationships.
A pragmatic, commercially aware approach, with the confidence to exercise sound judgement.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Your experience could come from private practice, an in-house legal team or a combination of both. You don't need to have worked across every area listed above; we're interested in the strength of your commercial legal experience and your ability to apply it in a business environment.
Additional experience that would be beneficial, but isn't essential: competition law, cartel-related matters or German language skills.
Interested in a broader commercial legal role?
If you're a commercial solicitor ready to move closer to the business, or an in-house lawyer who enjoys working across contracts, privacy and international projects, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
