Job Description

12-18 Month Fixed-Term Contract Hybrid | London with regular travel across Lawfront firms

Help Shape the Future of AI in Legal Services

At Lawfront, we're building something different. We are a people-led, AI-enabled legal services group with ambitious plans to become the leading regional legal platform in the UK. With seven firms across England, more than 800 fee earners and £166m in revenue, we're investing heavily in technology, capability and innovation to transform how legal services are delivered.

As AI rapidly reshapes the legal profession, we're looking for an experienced AI Learning & Capability Manager to play a pivotal role in our group-wide AI transformation programme. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of AI, learning, change and organisational development, helping our people develop the skills, confidence and behaviours needed to thrive in an AI-enabled future.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Change & Engagement Lead, with a second-line relationship to the Head of Talent Development, you'll lead the learning and capability workstream supporting Lawfront's AI rollout.

Working closely with technology, change, communication and business leaders, you'll design and deliver practical, engaging learning experiences that move colleagues from awareness and experimentation to confident, effective adoption of AI tools within their everyday roles.

This is not a traditional training position. You'll help shape how an entire organisation embraces AI, influencing leaders, developing capability frameworks, creating innovative learning solutions and embedding lasting behavioural change across multiple businesses.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead AI Capability & Adoption

Drive learning and capability initiatives that support successful AI adoption across the group.
Assess AI literacy, confidence and readiness across different teams and firms.
Translate business priorities and AI use cases into meaningful learning interventions.
Build capability in responsible AI use, critical thinking, verification and effective human oversight.

Design Innovative Learning Experiences

Create and deliver engaging workshops, practical learning sessions, digital content and experiential programmes.
Develop role-specific learning journeys that help colleagues apply AI in real workplace scenarios.
Build and continuously improve Lawfront's AI "Recipe Cards" and practical learning resources.
Create safe opportunities for experimentation, practice and peer learning.

Drive Behavioural Change

Support colleagues and leaders through the adoption journey.
Identify and address cultural, behavioural and capability barriers.
Build AI champion and super-user communities to encourage peer-to-peer learning.
Develop and support the learning pathway for Lawfront's AI Practice Leads.

Influence Future Talent Development

Act as the Talent Development team's subject matter expert on AI and the future of work.
Advise on how AI is changing workforce capability requirements.
Help embed AI capability into leadership development, onboarding, career pathways and wider talent programmes.
Champion human skills such as judgement, creativity, problem solving, decision-making and commercial awareness in an AI-enabled workplace.

Measure Success

Establish meaningful measures of learning, adoption and business impact.
Use feedback and data to continuously improve learning interventions.
Help demonstrate progression from awareness and confidence through to sustained application and business value.

About You

You'll bring a blend of learning expertise, change management capability and practical AI knowledge.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

Significant experience within Learning & Development, Talent Development, Organisational Development or Capability Development.
Strong experience designing and delivering learning programmes for diverse audiences.
A practical understanding of generative AI and its workplace applications.
Experience supporting digital transformation, technology adoption or organisational change initiatives.
Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
The ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible learning experiences.
A commercial mindset and focus on measurable business outcomes.
Experience working within professional services, legal, financial services or other regulated environments.

It's a Bonus If You Have:

Experience supporting an AI rollout or large-scale digital transformation programme.
Experience developing capability frameworks or learning academies.
Experience establishing champion networks or communities of practice.
Knowledge of responsible AI frameworks and governance principles.
