Property Litigation Solicitor (Legal Director)
Job Description
Salary: Competitive
THE ROLE:
A leading national law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Director to join its Real Estate Litigation team in Birmingham. The successful candidate will handle a varied and complex caseload of commercial property disputes, acting for an impressive client base across a range of sectors.
The work will include opposed and unopposed lease renewals, restrictive covenants, break options, dilapidations, rights of way, boundary disputes, trespass, nuisance, possession proceedings and insolvency-related matters.
You will take a lead role in managing key client relationships, providing commercially focused advice and ensuring the delivery of an excellent level of client service. There will also be responsibility for supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, supporting the development of the wider team and identifying opportunities to grow the practice. Close collaboration with the transactional Real Estate team will also be an important aspect of the role.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from experienced Solicitors with a strong background in Real Estate Litigation, ideally gained within a leading commercial property team. You will have demonstrable technical expertise in complex and high-value commercial property disputes and the confidence to manage matters independently.
The successful candidate will be commercially astute, personable and confident in developing relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Previous experience supervising junior lawyers and contributing to business development will be advantageous. You will also have the ambition and ability to play an active role in the continued growth and success of the practice.
THE FIRM:
This leading global law firm has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to an impressive client base. The firm offers an established national platform, a collaborative working environment and the opportunity to take on a senior position within a growing Real Estate Litigation practice.
THE PACKAGE:
A competitive salary and benefits package is available, together with flexible hybrid working. The role will be based in Birmingham.
