Court of Protection Lawyer

Our highly regarded national and top tier client, headed by a Chambers and Legal 500 rated Partner, are looking for a Court of Protection lawyer to joint their Basingstoke office.
The team has a significant reputation in this field, advising on a broad range of issues relating to personal injury trusts, capacity and deputyships. As a valued team member you will be involved in relieving the pressure of financial decision making from family members, enabling them to continue to make the key choices and to support their relatives on a day-to-day basis. Your role will encompass acting as a professional deputy for property and financial affairs, assisting with applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a lay deputy, advising on the legal requirements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Code of Practice for lay deputies including decisions relating to an individual's personal welfare, drafting applications for statutory wills, preparing personal injury trusts and preparing disabled person's trusts.
Our client is very interested in speaking to junior solicitors or mid level solicitors who are now seeking to take a step up by working with a larger and nationally renowned team.
