Legal Executive (Commercial Contracts & Compliance)

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional who enjoys working with contracts and managing risk. The role will focus primarily on the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, alongside supporting a range of compliance and governance activities.
The Role
As Legal Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the business's contractual and compliance requirements by:
* Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts and agreements.
* Identifying legal and commercial risks and providing practical recommendations.
* Negotiating contract terms directly with clients, suppliers and legal representatives.
* Managing contract amendments, renewals and variations.
* Supporting compliance activities and helping maintain internal policies and procedures.
* Assisting with governance and regulatory requirements.
* Maintaining accurate records and contract documentation.
* Working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure contractual obligations are met.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A Law Degree (essential).
* Previous experience in Commercial Contracts
* Demonstrable experience reviewing and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts.
* Confidence negotiating contractual clauses directly with clients and external legal teams.
* Strong understanding of contractual risk and risk mitigation.

Perfect Candidate:
* Must have a Law degree 2:1 and above
* Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with full ownership of contract lifecycle
* Ideally exposure to JCT and NEC contracts
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management experience
