Property Litigation Claims Handler

We are working with a specialist legal practice based close to Hertford who are looking to recruit a Property Litigation Claims Handlers to join their growing team. This is an opportunity for someone with legal experience to develop their career within property litigation, supporting solicitors with a high volume of residential and commercial claims.
The role would suit someone who enjoys managing a busy workload, communicating with clients and taking ownership of their cases. Property litigation experience would be beneficial, although candidates from other areas of law who have a genuine interest in moving into property litigation will also be considered.
Typical Duties:
* Manage a high volume of residential and commercial claims relating to service charges, ground rent, possession and breaches of lease.
* Prepare and process claim forms, court applications, consent orders and supporting documentation.
* Support solicitors with possession claims, forfeiture proceedings and enforcement action.
* Manage case progression, maintain accurate records and ensure court deadlines and daily targets are met.
* Communicate with clients and other stakeholders by telephone and email, including managing calls from the enquiry line and resolving queries.
Candidate Requirements:
* At least one year of experience working within a legal environment.
* Property litigation experience would be preferred, although candidates from other legal backgrounds will be considered.
* A genuine interest in developing a career within property litigation.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of work accurately.
* Confident communication skills and a willingness to handle regular telephone enquiries.
This is an office-based close to Hertford, working within a large, friendly team with plenty to learn. The role offers the opportunity to develop your legal knowledge, take ownership of your own cases and gain experience supporting solicitors across possession and enforcement matters.
