Legal Compliance & Risk
A Legal Compliance & Risk person is required by a law firm in their Portsmouth office. The Compliance & Risk person will be a legal professional able to support legal teams in respect to Compliance & Risk.

The Role
The Compliance & Risk role involves supporting legal teams with Compliance & Risk matters whilst dealing with more complex aspects. The work will involve; Resolving complex queries relating to risk and compliance and matter management; Assisting the Risk & Compliance Manager with reviews of the compliance monitoring programme; Ensuring compliance with both internal and external service standard requirements; Ensuring compliance with Lexcel, CQS, SRA and any other regulatory requirements; Assisting the Firm during its Lexcel and CQS reaccreditation process; Opening files digitally and ensuring they are compliant before handing over to the relevant fee-earner; Carrying out AML and source of funds checks
The Candidate
The Risk & Compliance person will have previous experience in supporting within a law firm - preferably in property as well as dealing with risk and compliance matters.
