THE ROLE:
The successful candidate will work within the Conveyancing Team, specifically in relation to the progression and active conveyancing of files within the team. They will also be expected to carry out further ad hoc duties as required. The firm provides a mixed workload, including:
• Supporting the Conveyancing Property Lawyer with sales, purchases, remortgages, title transfers, new builds and discharge work.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors throughout the conveyancing process, from instruction to completion.
• Preparing and issue draft contract packs, transfer deeds and client reports covering contracts, title, searches and mortgages.
• Reviewing incoming contract packs, search results and mortgage offers, raising enquiries where required.
• Assisting with resolving enquiries and responding to requisitions under supervision.
• Preparing SDLT/LTT forms for client approval and manage post-completion requirements, including Land Registry applications, tax returns and payments.
• Keeping referrers, agents and relevant websites and portals updated.
• Managing daily task lists through LMS and Lender Exchange.
• Monitoring and resolve credit and debit ledger balances.
THE CANDIDATE:
This role requires someone who has a proved record of organising their own workload and responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess the ability to determine priorities and consistently meet deadlines. You must have exemplary administration skills.
