THE ROLE:
Ready to take the next step in your family law career? This is your chance to work alongside the current Head of Department, with a clear path towards taking the reins yourself! You’ll manage your own varied caseload, support on complex matters and help grow an ambitious department. From relationship breakdowns to children’s proceedings, no two days will be the same (and no two families either!).
Your work will include:
• Divorce, separation and financial remedies
• Private children matters and parental disputes
• Cohabitation and relationship breakdowns
• Domestic abuse and injunction applications
• Care proceedings and child protection
• Special guardianship and adoption matters
THE CANDIDATE:
You’ll have at least two years’ family law experience and, importantly, the drive to help build something bigger. If you’re ready to take ownership, think commercially and have ambitions beyond simply managing a caseload, this could be the ideal next move.
You’ll bring:
• Strong family law knowledge and first-class drafting skills
• The confidence to manage a busy caseload independently
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Advocacy experience (a bonus, but not a deal-breaker!)
• A proactive mindset and genuine enthusiasm for growing the department and progressing into a leadership role
