Private Client Solicitor / Head of Department | 5+ PQE | Devon | Competitive Salary DOE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established and growing law firm in Devon as Head of Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor looking to take the next step in their career, lead a department and play a key role in its continued growth and development. THE ROLE:
You will manage a varied private client caseload, provide high-quality legal advice and build strong client relationships, whilst taking responsibility for the strategic development and growth of the department.
Applications are welcomed from Private Client Solicitors with 5+ years’ PQE or equivalent experience, with expertise in a broad range of private client matters, including:
• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts and inheritance tax planning
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection matters
• Tax and succession planning
• Contentious private client matters
You will also be responsible for team supervision, mentoring junior colleagues, business development and identifying opportunities to expand the department’s offering.
ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent client care skills and a commercially focused approach to developing a successful private client practice.
You will ideally have previous leadership or supervisory experience, enjoy building client relationships and be confident in networking and business development. The ability to manage a busy caseload whilst contributing to the wider success of the firm is essential.
